Play and Learn stands for another approach in language teaching
Varied didactics is our road to mediating German and English on a native-speaker level: to children, young people, and adults – always tangible and real-life-oriented. In addition to language teaching we offer the following language-related services: intercultural training, business coaching, and translations.
Wir lernen etwas zu tun, indem wir es tun. Es gibt keine andere Möglichkeit.
We learn to do something by doing it. There is no other way.
Children, ages 4 – 10: We focus on a hands-on, playful and fun way of learning languages. We offer: German and English.
Young people: We give support when learning a new language – in private classes, in addition to school tuition, and when facing special challenges, such as the transition to secondary school or preparing for a year abroad. We also offer help with the IB (International Baccalaureate).
Adults: We offer business-English, German as a foreign language, English and German for job and private use – in groups or individually, oriented on personal aims / objectives (telephone training, correspondence, relocation preparation, miscellaneous / varied focal points …).
Translations: We translate English – German, with focus on the humanities, economy, applied texts (others upon request).
Coaching / Counselling: We provide business coaching, counselling in difficult personal circumstances or in a situation of change. Intercultural training: We support young people and adults who have just arrived in Germany, or want to prepare for a professional or private stay in another culture.
The new Kids Guide 2011/12 for Hamburg is out – and we are part of it! The Kids Guide combines a handy city map with lots of information about where to go and what to do with the family – e.g., where museums and harbour attractions are, where to buy naturally made children’s clothes, furniture and toys, and where to look for German and English classes for children, young people and adults. You can get the guide for free at kindergartens, schools, public libraries and Budni drugstores. (I.L.)
